Personality:

The first thing you'd definitely notice about Akane is how fit she is - she's the tallest girl in the island, with shapely legs and, let's face it, knockers that are too large for a highschooler. Aside from being a world-class gymnast, she has a passion for fighting, and she's challenged her classmate Nekomaru Nidai and even their kidnapper Monokuma to battles during their stay in murder-island. Heck, her first reaction to problems tends to be "Can I solve this by hitting it hard enough?" She hates being perceived as weak and so forces herself to be strong, believing that real strength is showing no weaknesses at all and that she can't rely on other people, hence her aloof attitude. It's thanks to Hajime and Nidai that she's able to think about what it really means to be strong and weak.

But yes, it's pretty much apparent that Akane is not the brightest bulb in the box. She is very gullible, easily believing tangents and the lies her classmates toss out during class trials and tends to misinterpret complex wordings - and as mentioned, she'd resort to violence to solve problems. This has been exploited by her sneaky classmate Hiyoko Saionji, who even fooled her into eating flowers.) She does have her moments of brightness, whenever her instinct kicks in, and those hunches have gotten her classes out of sticky situations more than once.

Speaking of eating, that's also one of Akane's well-known traits - she absolutely LOVES food. Particularly meat, but she can eat almost anything. While her fellow students were talking about the latest victim, all Akane could think of is what they're going to eat right after. Food is extremely important to her, as she believes that "if you don't eat, you'll die". She claims that she'd easily lose energy if she eats too little and she'd just get more hungry anyway. Once she eats, it'd be very hard for her or anyone to stop. She's a growing girl after all, but she does have her reasons. Growing up poor all her life, she had to fight tooth and nail to get her family something to eat and as a result, she consumes food as if she'll never see one again out of habit.

In spite of her moodswinger tendencies, Akane is generally very carefree. But only because she believes that worrying is a sign of weakness and as mentioned, she hates being weak. Aside from that, she's lazy and unmotivated, and it's even listed in her profile that she abhors hard work. In fact, her way of doing gymnastics is to go out there and just make up a routine on the spot. She's actually rather talented at coming up with new moves but she only does this because she hates the hard work that would come with practicing and composing a routine beforehand.

Akane lacks modesty when it comes to her body and while you could say that she's confident in her own skin, she can be rather clueless about it. She mentions past experiences that involves outright sexual harassment in a lighthearted way, which grossly disturbs others. For example, she'd let someone fondle her breasts as a reward, thinking that it's a normal thing to do. Although she knows jack-shit about romance, she's perfectly comfortable about her lack of femininity anyway (And so are her perverted admirers, but let's not talk about that), though she does ask Hajime if he finds her girly enough.

Due to being used to people dying everyday back at home, Akane can also be rather forgetful, even forgetting Hajime's name a couple of times and calling him names that start with the letter H instead. She's all too used to the idea of death that the tragedies around her don't faze her anymore. Nekomaru's death is what finally breaks her carelessness and she starts fighting back because of it - and not just physically.

So all in all Akane is one intense gal for the most part. She is like one of those shounen heroes in anime - brash, hotheaded, lazy, and a bit dim. But she does mean well, and she is loyal to her friends to the very end.

Abilities: As the Ultimate Gymnast, Akane could do incredible flips and spins that only a world-class athlete could ever achieve. She's also known parkour as well. Akane also has a keen intution despite her dim moments, and she can rely on her gut feelings when things turn sour. Lastly, she has a sensitive nose and she is capable of smelling food and even blood before most people do.

Alignment: Sosyne. Her mood swings a lot but Akane can be rather fiery and is prone to blowing a gasket if something upsets her. She could use a little more control with her emotions as well.

Other: She used to be a Remnant of Despair that took over the world by storm, and she along with her classmates were put in the virtual Neo World Program for rehabilitation. As such, she will appear as her 17 year old avatar from the game.

[ The marketplace is bustling per usual, but today is a little more hectic than usual. Small earthquakes that last for a few seconds keep reverberating and the shoppers are very confused as to where it's coming from.

But there's nothing to worry about - it's just that a certain tall girl needs sustenance. And fast. ]

Oooh... Hungry...

[ Akane's clutching her stomach as she makes her way downtown, blearily looking for food stalls that sell snacks for cheap. Everything looks expensive to her and she's about to give up when she suddenly spots a noodle stand at the very end of this road. And there she goes, running as if her life depends on it, and quickly gets in line.

Minutes pass, and she's sitting on a bench in a park with a cupful of noodles in her hands. Flowers - sunflowers this time - began to grow at her feet as she slurps her food up, hearts dancing around her face as she hums. In the end, it's just another typical day for her. ]


Questions: Could she bring Minimaru, a tiny robot made from the remaining parts of her mechanical friend Nekomaru Nidai? Though it's run out of power when she comes to Empatheias, so she'll probably have to find another power source for him.
